    Abstract: 본 발명은 데이터 수집단말에서 이종 통신망을 이용하여 수집데이터를 서비스 서버로 전송하는 시스템에 관한 것으로, 데이터 수집단말에서 통신망에 따른 재전송을 최소화할 수 있는 크기 단위로 분할하여 서비스 서버측으로 전송함으로써 재전송에 따른 데이터 전송 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 기술에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 이종 통신망에서 타임라인 기반의 수집데이터 전송 시스템은, 센서 노드로부터 수신된 수집데이터를 기 설정된 데이터 크기 단위로 분할하고, 분할 데이터를 압축하며, 이 압축 데이터와 패킷블럭 생성 시간으로 설정되는 타임라인을 포함하는 구조로 이루어지는 패킷블럭을 생성하여 에지서버로 전송하는 다수의 데이터 수집단말과, 데이터 수집단말로부터 수신된 패킷블럭의 압축데이터를 신장하여 분할데이터를 획득하고, 다수의 분할데이터를 타임라인에 따라 순차 배열한 구조의 패킷 데이터를 생성하여 외부로 전송하는 다수의 에지서버를 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 다수의 데이터 수집단말과 다수의 에지서버는 서로 다른 통신 속도를 갖는 적어도 둘 이상의 통신망을 통해 상호간 통신을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

    Abstract: Selective compression of packet payload data in a 5G network includes receiving a congestion signal by user equipment (UE) connected to a broadband cellular network based on network traffic congestion in hardware of the network and indicating the network traffic congestion, determining current processor utilization of the UE, based on the received congestion signal, the determined current processor utilization, and known times for data compression and decompression, determining whether to automatically enable selective packet payload data compression on the UE, and based on determining to automatically enable selective packet payload data compression, compressing payload data of data packet(s) generated by the UE, and forwarding the data packet(s) with the compressed payload data for transmission on the broadband cellular network.

    Abstract: Calls run through a virtual desktop infrastructure server are enhanced by opening a media channel between a personal computing device and a media server for a call initiated using a virtual desktop infrastructure server. A first stream of media data for the call is merged with a second stream of media data for the call in a single virtual channel of the protocol using a first packet queue to store packets of the first stream and a second packet queue to store packets of the second stream as the packets await transmission. A first packet of media data of the first stream is pushed into the first packet queue. A fill level of the first packet queue is compared to a first congest threshold associated with the first packet queue. Responsive to the fill level exceeding the first congest threshold, a congestion mitigation measure is invoked.

The method includes adaptively switching the current filter as a function of the filtered input signal (210) and the first and second threshold values. When the filtered input signal satisfies a channel bandwidth threshold, the method includes switching from using the first codec to using a second codec for the communication between the first and second user devices.
