Abstract: An electronic device communicates with a display, an input device, and a wearable audio output device. The device displays a user interface with dynamic visual representations of participants in a communication session. Outputting, via the wearable audio output device, audio from the plurality of participants in the communication session. The audio is adjusted to maintain simulated spatial locations of participants relative to a frame of reference of the communication session, independently of a position of the wearable audio output device relative to the frame of reference. The simulated spatial locations correspond to the locations of the dynamic visual representations. Receiving an input selecting one of the dynamic visual representations. In response, displaying the dynamic visual representations at locations different from their initial locations, and outputting audio from the participants to position their audio at a different simulated spatial locations, relative to the frame of reference.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a control device (101) for performing an acoustic calibration of an audio device (102). The control device (101) is configured to determine a reference sound (201) and one or more bandlimited sounds (202a, 202b, 202c) different from the reference sound (201), and to send the reference sound (201) and the one or more bandlimited sounds (202a, 202b, 202c) to the audio device (102). Further, the control device is configured to control the audio device (102) to output said sounds to a user, and to receive, in response to the control of the audio device (102) to output said sounds (202a, 202b, 202c) to the user, a user input indicative of a level of audibility for each of the one or more bandlimited sounds (202a, 202b, 202c). Then, the control device is configured to determine, based on the user input, a gain parameter (203) for each of the one or more bandlimited sounds (202a, 202b, 202c).

Abstract: An audio system and method for establishing wireless data connections between a case (104) and at least one wearable audio device (106) is provided. The audio system can establish a first wireless data connection (142) between the case (104) and the wearable audio device (106) and establish a second wireless data connection (144) between the case (104) and the internet. The case (104), in addition to electrical energy storage capacity or battery bank capabilities, can directly communicate with the internet to receive update data directly from a remote server and can pass on update data to wearable audio devices without the need for a peripheral device such as a smart phone or tablet operating an affiliated software application. The audio system provided allows for information, data, and functionality to be passed between the wearable audio devices and cloud-based services, via the case (104), including social networking, messaging, music services, news, entertainment, and Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol (VOIP) communication services.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes, by a first electronic device: receiving, from an input sensor of the first electronic device, a predetermined input, where the predetermined input corresponds to a request to wirelessly connect the first electronic device to one or more second electronic devices within a communication range of a transceiver of the first electronic device, wirelessly connecting, using the transceiver of the first electronic device responsive to receiving the predetermined input, to the one or more second electronic devices using a communications profile associated with each of the one or more second electronic devices, where the communications profile includes one or more parameters for verifying to connect the first electronic device and the one or more second electronic devices, and redirecting a live audio communication between the first electronic device and a control device to the one or more second electronic devices.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to ear-worn devices that can be used to locate other devices such as mobile electronic devices. In a first aspect, an ear-worn device is included having a control circuit, a microphone in electrical communication with the control circuit, an electroacoustic transducer for generating sound in electrical communication with the control circuit, a motion sensor in electrical communication with the control circuit, and a power supply circuit in electrical communication with the control circuit, wherein the ear-worn device is configured to issue a location command to a mobile electronic device and wherein the location command triggers the mobile electronic device to emit a locating signal. Other embodiments are also included herein.
