Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for improving a plant's immune response using a combination of microbes and/or their growth by-products. Specifically, the subject invention improves a plant's ability to withstand an infection by a pest or pathogen using a combination of a Trichoderma sp. fungus and a Bacillus sp. bacterium, and, optionally, one or more other microorganisms. In certain embodiments, the compositions and methods of the subject invention can modulate the recognition of PAMPs and/or the induction of defensive mechanisms in a plant. In a specific embodiment, the invention reduces induction of self-harming defensive mechanisms that are irreversible and/or over-induced in the plant.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes products formulated to inhibit respiratory conditions and symptoms in animals, along with associated methods of providing such products to the animals. Feeding methods involve providing animals with a feed product that includes a direct-fed microbial composition, at least one phytogenic compound, and/or at least one vitamin. The direct- fed microbial composition includes one or more strains of Bacillus. The animals can include swine or cattle at risk of developing, or already afflicted with, a respiratory condition. Inhibition of respiratory stress can reduce mortality rates and medication administration relative to animals fed the same diet but lacking the feed product.

Abstract: A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição agrícola composta pela associação de três espécies de Bacillus spp (Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus velezensis) em sua forma de resistência e o extrato vegetal composto por mix de tocoferóis, para potencialização do efeito biofungicida e, surpreendentemente, com elevada estabilidade frente a radiação UV-B em um único produto alcançado por um processo industrial diferenciado. O processo industrial de indução na formação de endósporos de Bacillus spp. através do estresse osmótico das células vegetativas no meio de cultura durante o crescimento bacteriano é o que possibilita a mescla de Bacillus spp. e mix de tocoferóis, uma vez que existe antagonismo entre as espécies de Bacillus em suas respectivas formas vegetativas. Por fim, a sinergia entre os princípios ativos, células microbianas e mix de tocoferóis de ação antioxidante, ativam e potencializam a função biofungicida da composição biotecnológica apresentada.
