Security systems and methods are provided. In one example, a security system includes at least one lock configured to protect one or more items from theft from the fixture, wherein the lock comprises a plunger pin configured to be moved between a latched position and an unlatched position, and wherein the fixture is configured to be accessed in the unlatched position. The lock comprises a cam configured to be moved between a locked state and an unlocked state for allowing the plunger pin to be moved between the latched position and the unlatched position when in the unlocked state, wherein the cam is configured to be moved in response to receiving a wireless authorization signal to transition the lock between the locked state and the unlocked state.

The lock is configured to be moved between a locked state and an unlocked state for allowing the drive shaft to be moved between the latched position and the unlatched position when in the unlocked state, wherein the lock includes a cam sleeve having an internal cam surface configured to transition the lock between the locked state and the unlocked state in response to movement of the cam sleeve.

An example automated product cabinet includes a housing defining a storage area configured to receive a product and a face. The cabinet includes a plurality of slots, where each slot is configured to receive a respective unit of the product, and a plurality of visual indicators configured to indicate positions of the units of the product. The cabinet includes a scanning bar configured to be slidably repositioned along the face of the housing, and a data capture device attached to the scanning bar and configured to capture information about the product. The cabinet includes a controller operably coupled to the data capture device. The controller is configured to inventory the product based, at least in part, on the information about the product, and actuate one or more of the visual indicators that are associated with a desired unit of the product.

Sensor-equipped display management systems and methods that may be used to calculate a number of products removed from a display management system based upon motion of one or more mechanisms within the display management system. Additionally, the systems and methods may be used to detect patterns from the sensor data, which may be indicative of attempted theft of products stored within the display management system.

A box is provided for displaying items, at least one of which is an ultraviolet-reactive item. The box Is sized for Insertion into a showcase. The box includes a box structure for containing the items to be displayed, and has at least one shadowing surface, and at least one open or glazed surface. Lighting is provided that is wired with the box structure, and includes a 365 nm ultraviolet LED diode assembly in an adjustable strip. A means is provided for directing the position or orientation of the adjustable strip so that the ultraviolet LED stimulates visible fluorescence in the ultraviolet- reactive item, while areas in the box are subject to ambient or showcase white light penetrating into the box structure through the at least one open or glazed surface: and areas in the box are subject to shadowing from the at least one shadowing surface.
