Abstract: An incision closure apparatus and method for securely and adjustably holding a tube passing through the incision, such as a chest tube. In some embodiments the apparatus comprises a frame having a first side and a second side; a handle assembly pivotably coupled to the frame, the assembly comprising a pair of handles disposed between the first side and second side of the frame, wherein each of the handles is pivotably coupled to the frame and is movable relative to the frame between non-deployed and deployed positions; a needle array positionable at a lower end of each of the handles; and a tube holder located adjacent one of the first side and the second side of the frame for releasably securing the tube. The apparatus is adjustable to alter the placement of the tube and to vary the pressure applied to the tissue at the site of the closed incision by adjusting the spacing between the pair of handles.

Abstract: An occlusion device with particular utility in occlusion of left atrial appendages is described. The occlusion device utilizes an inflatable balloon comprising a proximal portion to inflate with an inflation fluid delivered by an outer catheter body and conform to a shape of the left atrial appendage and a distal portion to fill with an adhesive delivered by an inner catheter body. The distal portion of the inflatable balloon sticks to the tissue wall of the left atrial appendage. The outer catheter body is configured to position the inner catheter body inside the outer catheter body.

Abstract: Provided are tissue repair and sealing devices, and methods for the use of tissue repair and sealing devices, for use in both minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures and open, non-MIS procedures to rapidly repair tissue fenestrations and create a pressure-resistant, watertight seal in a tissue barrier. Tissue repair and sealing devices disclosed herein comprise an integrated graft and deployable clasp assembly and an applicator assembly having a clasp retain and release member that is slidably connected to a folded, deployable clasp. The applicator assembly places a graft on a tissue inner surface and a deployable clasp on a tissue outer surface to secure the graft to the tissue inner surface to, thereby, repair a tissue fenestration and create a watertight barrier.
