Abstract:
Abstract:
According to the invention, a door for a vehicle, in particular for a truck, is proposed. The door comprises a door frame with a main window frame for a main side window and a lower window frame, located below the main window frame, for a lower window; wherein the main side window is slidable in a predominantly vertical direction with respect to the door frame. The door further comprises a first sealing unit; a second sealing unit, attached to the door frame between the main window frame and the lower window frame; and a lower window mounted in the lower window frame, wherein the second sealing unit comprises a sealing lip, preferably a double sealing lip, wherein the sealing lip extends on both sides beyond the longitudinal extent of the lower window, wherein the sealing lip has a main section that is predominantly horizontally oriented and an end section that is curved downward.
Abstract:
A quarter window assembly (10) for a soft top cover assembly that is removable. The quarter window assembly (10) is connectable to the soft cover assembly. The quarter window assembly (10) has a hard corner assembly (16) mountable to features connected to a vehicle. The hard corner assembly (16) is an injection molded plastic assembly. The quarter window assembly (10) also has a panel (12) carrying at least one window (14), and the panel (12) is secured to the hard corner assembly (16).
Abstract:
A window covering is configured for attachment to a window frame of a vehicle to cover an opening defined in the window frame. The window covering includes a casing, a panel, a first magnet, and a second magnet. The casing includes a first member and a second member. The casing includes a ferromagnetic material. The panel is attached to first and second members and covers the hole. The first magnet and second magnet are magnetically attached to the respective first member and second member. The first and second magnets are configured to be magnetically attached to the window frame. The magnets are permanent magnets. Each magnet is configured to exert a pull force sufficient to retain the window covering to the window frame of the vehicle such that the casing of the window covering does not move relative to the window frame during motion of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A single channel window lift assembly for a vehicle is provided, the window lift assembly having: a door bracket; a single guide rail rotationally mounted to the door bracket for rotational movement in a predetermined range; and a cable assembly secured to the single guide rail wherein at least one cable of the cable assembly is not received within a conduit and the at least one cable is secured to as least one pulley rotationally mounted to the single guide rail and the at least one cable remains on the at least one pulley as the single guide rail rotates within the predetermined range.
Abstract:
A plastic carrier plate for vehicle door is provided. The plastic carrier plate having: a channel structure molded into the plastic carrier plate, the channel structure having a pair channels integrally molded into the plastic carrier plate, wherein the channels provide structural reinforcement to the plastic carrier plate and the channels intersect each other.
Abstract:
A polycarbonate window system having an integrated ROPS that reduces the thickness of cab posts of machine such that the operator's visibility is increased. The polycarbonate window system also facilitates secure retention of the polycarbonate window without requiring holes to be formed near the periphery of the polycarbonate window, thereby increasing the structural integrity of the polycarbonate window.
Abstract:
It has now been surprisingly discovered, according to the present invention, that the use of a laminated glazing panel in an offset glazing for use as a protective side window in vehicles results in a glazing that has improved resistance to breakage and removal after repeated impacts.
Abstract:
A user-operated system for interactive vehicle door opening and closing. The system detects vehicle position (gravity) and external force (such as wind) and provides an assistive force in effortlessly opening or closing the door. In some embodiments, the system provides a fail safe mode of operation in case of power failure and/or limit stops to minimize or prevent damage to external objects in the event the door is inadvertently brought into contact with the external object.
