    Abstract: The present teachings generally provide for an overrunable test vehicle for use with a soft target. The overrunable test vehicle comprises a chassis defining a cavity and having an external mounting area for receiving the soft target, at least one non-driven wheel supported by the chassis, at least one drive mechanism supported by the chassis having an electric motor and a drive wheel operatively connected with the electric motor, and a control system disposed within the cavity and coupled to the electric motor for sending and receiving information. The non-driven wheel is deformable with the non-driven wheel having an initial state with a first height and a deformed state with a second height where the second height is less than the first height. The non-driven wheel is configured to enter the deformed state when a threshold force is applied, and transition towards the initial state when the force is lessened.
