Abstract:
The object of the invention is a method of filling containers with rod-like articles wherein the rod-like articles are fed by means of a feeder of rod-like articles, the rod-like articles are inserted into the container, characterised in that before inserting the rod-like articles into the container an arrangement of the rod-like articles whose centres are arranged according to a tessellation described by the formula (3 6 ; 3 3 .4 2 ) v=2, t=3, e=4 is formed.
Abstract:
Package of a tobacco or nicotine containing product comprising a packaging material having a moisture regulating product, the moisture regulating product comprising at least one metal-organic framework compound and at least an inorganic salt.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of automatic machines for the packaging and quality control of tubular articles and subsequent palletisation of the containers. Such novel device assembles a plurality of electromechanical devices having an automated process which makes the packaging of tubes in the boxes (number of pieces per row, quantity of rows, etc.) efficient according to the size of the tube to be packaged and then provides for palletising step. Such plurality of electromechanical devices process tubes having a diameter of 40 mm, although such size can be varied, and they are designed to work in line with the production machines upstream and downstream of such packaging and palletising island. The maximum size of the boxes to be packaged has the following characteristics: 600 mm x 380 mm x 140 mm, also in this case such volume is variable according to the size of the tubes to be packaged and palletised.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide convenient foldable boxes for transporting materials related to genetic assessments (e.g., DNA tests). The foldable boxes are lightweight, compact, easily manufactured, and inexpensive. In certain embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to a genetic assessment kit which includes a foldable box, as described herein, a buccal swab, and other materials which support the efficient and collection and transport of a biological sample. For example, the genetic assessment kit may include a plastic bag or other appropriate vessel for storing a buccal swab after it is used to collect a biological sample (e.g., a DNA sample). The genetic assessment kit may also include a pre-addressed envelope so an individual may easily mail his/her biological sample to an appropriate test location.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, devices, methods and computer program products are configured to package products using automated movement of components that fill, then clip bags in a manner that is particularly suitable for packaging blasting powder and/or explosives in shot bags.
Abstract:
An improved cigarette package is provided. The cigarette package first includes a container which serves as a housing for two or more compartments, each compartment holding a plurality of cigarettes. The package also includes a lid which is hingedly connected to the container at an upper end. Opening and closing the lid provides selective access and closure to the container. The inner compartments each include a compartment tab that allows for opening and re-sealing of the respective inner compartments. Thus, a dual-compartment cigarette package is provided wherein the compartments may be independently opened and re-sealed. The configuration allows for selective opening of a single compartment while preserving the factory seal on the unopened compartment so that freshness and aromatic oils of the cigarettes within the package are preserved, even after opening of the package and compartments.
Abstract:
An exemplary container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box. The outer box has a hinged top configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box. The inner box is a laminate of paperboard and an inner liner and pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner box. A pull tab covers the opening. The pull tab includes a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner box and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner box and the outer box.
Abstract:
High-speed methods to close tubular plastic wrappers may include providing a packaging film on a mandrel in the form of a hollow tube, forming a folded surface by rotating the hollow tube and mandrel while counter-rotating a plate having a plurality of folding blades extending outwardly therefrom, to form a plurality of folds that define the folded surface, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hollow tube, each folding blade engaging a portion of the protruding tube portion, applying heat and pressure to the folded surface to form a closed end, inserting the tampon into the tube, and closing the first end of the tube. The film material comprises at least one thermoplastic surface, and the mandrel has a first end extending from a revolving platform and a second end, distal the first end. The mandrel can rotate with respect to the revolving platform on which it is mounted.
