Abstract: El equipo corresponde a un tanque que trabaja a presión atmosférica, diseñado para retirar el aceite y los sólidos en suspensión por medio de microburbujas (80 micrones de diámetro) de aire inducido con boquillas, con una eficiencia estimada del 90% para retiro de grasas y/o aceites y un 70% de la cantidad de sólidos suspendidos para que así los efluentes del sistema puedan continuar su curso normal dentro del proceso de disposición final de las corrientes tratadas. El equipo para su funcionamiento cuenta con un sistema de generación de burbujas, compuesto por un entramado de boquillas que están distribuidas de forma que cubra toda el área transversal del tanque y de esta forma se garantiza la flotación de sólidos suspendidos y el aceite que viene en la corriente de entrada.
