    Abstract: A method is to perform pulse power drilling of a borehole into a subsurface formation. The method comprises altering drilling the borehole, based on the pulse power drilling, in a direction that is off-center from a center of the borehole, wherein the altering of the drilling of the borehole in the direction that is off-center comprises articulating at least one element of a drill string having a drill bit; and periodically emitting a pulse of electrical discharge into the subsurface formation from at least one electrode of an electrode assembly that is part of the drill bit.

    Abstract: An artificial lift assembly includes an outer body, an inner body positioned at least partially within the outer body, and a first line in fluid communication with a first reservoir defined at least partially between the outer body and the inner body. The first line is configured to introduce a working fluid into the first reservoir to cause an upstroke of the inner body relative to the outer body, the inner body moves upward with respect to the outer body during the upstroke, which draws a wellbore fluid into a chamber defined at least partially between the outer body and the inner body, and the chamber is positioned below the first reservoir.

    Abstract: Methods of capturing carbon dioxide in a wellbore can include installing a sealing element in the wellbore. The sealing element swells in the presence of carbon dioxide and can be used for capturing the carbon. The sealing element can include a carbon-swelling material, such as a carbon-swelling polymers, metal-based materials, or combinations of elastomeric polymers and metal-based materials. The sealing element can also include combinations of different carbon-swelling materials, fillers or other compounds, and materials that are not carbon swell able. The sealing element can create a seal, form an anchor, or create a seal and form an anchor in the wellbore after swelling.

    Abstract: A method of measuring a rate of mineralization, including: positioning a seismic sensor and/or a harmonic sensor in acoustic communication with a rock formation; injecting carbon dioxide into a borehole in the rock formation; reacting the carbon dioxide with the rock formation to form mineralized carbon dioxide; measuring an acoustic activity generated in the rock formation with the seismic sensor and/or harmonic sensor during the reacting; calculating the rate of mineralization based on the acoustic activity; and adjusting a rate of carbon dioxide injection into the rock formation based on the calculated rate of mineralization.
