Abstract: Disclosed techniques relate to identifying a bellwether meter. In an example, a method involves receiving, at a first device on a personal area network within a communications network, from each of a set of metering devices on the personal area network and at a first reporting rate, a measurement of the resource distribution network obtained at the respective metering device. The first device and the set of metering devices are within a predefined group of devices. The method further includes analyzing the measurements, and based on the analyzing, selecting a first metering device of the metering devices as a bellwether metering device for a first period of time. The method further includes receiving from the bellwether metering device measurements at a second reporting rate that is greater than the first reporting rate and measurements from other devices of the plurality of metering devices at the first rate reporting rate.

Abstract: A method involves receiving power data measurements at nodes of an electrical power grid, the electrical power grid having multiple buses. For a first bus of the electrical power grid, an objective function is repeatedly minimized using the received power data measurements to determine estimated admittances between the first bus and other buses of the electrical power grid. The minimization of the objective function is linearly constrained by a repeatedly estimated sum of conductances and susceptances connected to the first bus. A minimum value of the objective function for the first bus is determined that corresponds to a maximum value of the estimated sum of conductances and susceptances. A topology of the electrical power grid associated with the first bus is determined based on the estimated admittances that correspond to the minimum value of the objective function and to the maximum value of the estimated sum of conductances and susceptances.

Abstract: A method for providing frequency balancing in a power network grid is presented The method is performed in an RBS of a radio communication network. The RBS comprises one or more power supply units, PSUs, connected to the power network grid. The method comprises detecting (S220) a deviation of a power network grid frequency measured in a PSU (1) of the one or more PSUs, wherein the power network grid frequency is measured upstream of a power factor correction, PFC, unit (2) of the PSU, deactivating (S230) the one or more PSU in response to the detected deviation, to stop the RBS from drawing power from the power network grid, determining (S240) one or more further PSU to be deactivated based on the detected deviation, wherein the RBS is in a first frequency containment reserve, FCR, zone and the one or more further PSU are in a second FCR zone, other than the first FCR zone, and sending (S250) a deactivation indication to the determined one or more further PSU. A method, RBS, PSU, computer programs and a computer program product for providing frequency balancing in a power network grid are also presented.

Abstract: Systems and methods are directed controlling components of a utility grid. The system can receive signals. The system can determine one or more statistical metrics based on the signals. The system can generate an input matrix. The system can input the input matrix into a machine learning model. The system can predict, based on the input matrix and via the machine learning model, the value for the signal of the utility grid at a time period for which the value is not provided in the input matrix. The system can provide a command to control a component of the utility grid responsive to the value for the signal of the utility grid predicted by the machine learning model.
