Abstract: Die vorliegende Erfindung schlägt em Verfahren zur Korrektur einer Farbwiedergabeeigenschaft eines Proofdruckes, wobei der Proofdruck eines vorgegebenen Digitalbildes mittels eines Proofdruckers mit vorbestimmtem Proof druck-Farbprofil erzeugt wird und der Proofdruck die Farbigkeit eines mit einem Produktionsdrucker erzeugbaren Zieldruckes desselben Digitalbildes simuliert, mit folgenden Verfahrensschritten: a) vorab Bereitstellen einer eine vorbestimmte Anzahl an Datenpaaren aus Start- Farbwert und Proofdrucker-Ziel -Farbwert umfassende Datenbank; b) Bereitstellen des Digitalbildes und Einteilen des Digitalbildes in eine Vielzahl von Bildpixeln; c) Pro Bildpixel Bestimmen eines Eingangs-Farbwertes und Überprüfen, ob die Datenbank für den jeweiligen Eingangs-Farbwert einen Start-Farbwert aufweist; dl) wenn die Datenbank für den j eweiligen Eingangs-F arbwert einen Start-F arbwert aufweist, dann bereitstellen des dazugehörigen Proofdrucker-Ziel-Farbwertes; d2) wenn die Datenbank für den jeweiligen Eingangs-Farbwert keinen Start- Farbwert aufweist, dann Bestimmen von wenigstens zwei dem jeweiligen Eingangs-Farbwert nächstgelegenen Start-Farbwerten, Interpolieren eines Proofdrucker-Ziel-Farbwertes anhand der nächstgelegenen Start-Farbwerte und Bereitstellen des interpolierten Proofdrucker-Ziel- Farbwertes; e) Erstellen eines farbkorrigierten vorgegebenen Digitalbildes auf Basis der bereitgestellten Proofdrucker-Ziel-Farbwerte. Auf diese Weise wird eemin verbessertes Verfahren zur Korrektur von Farbwiedergabeeigenschaften für einen Proofdruck bereitgestellt.

The virtual color gamut (817,1019,1117,1217,1219,1317) of the display includes a first virtual color gamut including a first chromaticity coordinate point of the first primary color, a second virtual color gamut including a second chromaticity coordinate point of the second primary color, a third virtual color gamut including a third chromaticity coordinate point of the third primary color, and a fourth virtual color gamut. The fourth virtual color gamut is among the first, second and third color areas (401,501,402,502,403,503) on the chromaticity plane (400,500,800,1000,1100,1200,1300) and does not overlap any of the first, second or third color areas (401,501,402,502,403,503).

The apparatus may also apply a CMF for a color space associated with the plurality of frames to the plurality of pixels in one or more subsequent frames of the plurality of frames, the CMF being applied until at least one of a subsequent scene change or a subsequent threshold number of received frames.
