    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for video processing. A method for video processing is proposed. The method comprises: determining, during a conversion between a target video block of a video and a bitstream of the video, a first prediction of the target video block by using an inter prediction tool; determining a second prediction by performing a motion compensation process on the first prediction; obtaining a third prediction by performing a forward mapping process on the second prediction; and performing the conversion based on the third prediction. In this way, the prediction of the target video block can be improved by applying the motion compensation process, and thus the coding effectiveness and coding efficiency can be improved.

    Abstract: An electronic device and method for adaptive mode selection for point cloud compression, is provided. The electronic device receives a 3D point cloud geometry and partitions the 3D point cloud geometry into a set of 3D blocks. For a 3D block of the set of 3D blocks, mode decision information is determined. The mode decision information includes class information of the 3D point cloud geometry, operational conditions associated with an encoding stage of the 3D point cloud geometry, or mode-related information associated with one or more 3D blocks of the set of 3D blocks. Based on the mode decision information, one or more modes are selected for the 3D block from a plurality of modes. Each mode corresponds to a function that is used to encode the 3D block. The 3D block is encoded based on the one or more modes.

Compare with conventional solutions, the proposed method can advantageously improve coding efficiency and coding quality.

    Abstract: 本发明公开了一种基于二维规则化平面投影的点云序列编解码方法及装置,所述编码方法包括:获取参考帧点云数据和当前帧点云数据;对参考帧点云数据进行二维规则化平面投影,得到第一二维投影平面结构;同时对当前帧点云数据进行二维规则化平面投影,得到第二二维投影平面结构;基于第一二维投影平面结构得到的若干第一二维图信息和第二二维投影平面结构得到的若干第二二维图信息进行运动补偿,并进行编码,得到当前帧点云数据的码流信息;重复上述步骤,直至完成点云序列所有帧的编码。本发明能够极大地利用点云序列在时域和空域上的相关性进行点云序列的编码,减小了点云序列的时域和空域冗余,提升了编码效率。

    Abstract: 本发明公开了一种基于二维规则化平面投影的点云编解码方法及装置,编码方法包括:获取原始点云数据;对原始点云数据进行二维规则化平面投影,得到二维投影平面结构;根据二维投影平面结构得到若干二维图信息;对若干二维图信息进行编码,得到码流信息。本发明通过二维规则化平面投影技术得到点云在二维投影平面结构上的强相关性表示,从而更好的体现了点云的空间相关性,使得后续在对二维规则化投影平面结构所得到的坐标转换误差信息图进行编码时,能够极大地利用点云的空间相关性,提升点云了的编码效率;同时在对坐标转换误差信息图进行编码时,利用了占位信息图、深度信息图和投影残差信息图进行辅助,进一步提升了编码效率。
