When a punch is downwardly pressed, an inner circumferential surface of a first rack blank bites into a top surface of a second rack blank. A blank material upwardly flows due to a reaction force and is used to form rack teeth. Thus, a filling degree of the teeth with the material is enhanced. At the time when the forming of the rack teeth is finished, a gap is left between the inner circumferential surface of the first rack blank and the outer circumferential surface of the second rack blank. Thus, a die is not put into a sealed condition. Consequently, a forming load is small so that the lifetime of the die is lengthened. Also, the top surface of the second rack blank bites into a bore hole portion of the first rack blank so that the first rack blank and the second rack blank are joined together. Accordingly, the rigidity of the entire rack teeth is increased.

The framer, also referred to as the scrambler/Reed-Solomon encoder (SRS), is a part of the transmitter and accepts user and control data in the form of one or more logical channels, partitions this data into frames, adds error correction codes, randomizes the data through a scrambler, and multiplexes logical channels into a single data stream. The present invention significantly modifies the currently known fining apparatus (finer). The basic shape is changed from a cylindrical shape to an elliptical shape, a somewhat rectangular shape, variations on a gabled roof shape, or variations on a gothic arch shape, such that the flow is more uniform and the seeds have less distance to rise to the surface. Baffles of a novel design are optionally included in an embodiment of the present invention to further increase fining performance. Prior art baffle designs are optionally included in an embodiment of the present invention to trap seeds and serve as structural elements. The present invention improves the fining capability of the apparatus without increasing the cost of construction materials. The clamp assembly is mounted to a headboard, which releasably mounts to the drive unit. The clamp assembly is mounted in the headboard in a stowed position and is configured for deployment from the headboard for coupling to a panel on the patient support. The drive unit includes a housing and a winding assembly supported in and enclosed by the housing. The winding assembly includes at least one tether, which is adapted to couple to the clamp assembly when the headboard is mounted to the drive unit and when the clamp assembly is deployed from the headboard. The tether is further optionally adapted to decouple from the clamp assembly when the clamp assembly is moved to its stowed position in the headboard.

Disclosed herein is a novel feature of a toilet for reducing the density of the fluid in the bottom portion of a bathroom fixture to eliminate spray when desired. When not desired, for example, when a user is seated upon the bathroom fixture, this feature may be deactivated. In one form, when the anti-spray feature is turned off, the bubbles will have substantially disappeared in less than a few seconds. The bathroom fixture (toilet) is provided with an air source, such as an air pump, compressed air cylinder, or compressor, coupled by way of an air line or hose to an air diffuser chamber. When the air source is activated, a substantial portion of the water in the air diffuser chamber will be displaced by the air provided by the air source. The vertical region of bubbles within the standing water reduces the density of the water in that region, such that splash is virtually eliminated.

A baseball glove 10 is provided with an indicia apparatus 12 which allows the user to view recorded data when desired. The baseball glove 10 includes a transparent member 34 which is coupled to and spaced from the back wall 14 of the glove so that an accessible open area 36 is formed between the wall and transparent member. A first planar shaped member 42 is provided having predetermined recorded indicia 44 thereon which is slidably held under the transparent member 34 so that the indicia thereon is visible. A second planer shaped member 46 is coupled to the glove above and adjacent the transparent member 34 so that it can be pivoted to conceal or reveal the recorded indicia on the transparent member as desired. A coupling member 50 is provided so that the second planar shaped member 46 can be coupled to cover the transparent member 34 and conceal the recorded indicia 44 when desired.

A helmet is wearable on a user's head for mitigating neck injury. The helmet incorporates an outer member which defines a concavity; an inner member, at least a portion of which is located within the concavity; and a path-motion guide mechanism which couples the inner member to the outer member. The path-motion guide mechanism permits guided relative movement between the inner member and the outer member in response to an impact force. The guided relative movement is constrained to one or more predetermined paths and comprises, for each of the one or more predetermined paths, relative translation and/or rotation between the inner and outer members.
