Provided is a flexible tube which is used to load fluid from a floating facility on the sea onto a tanker, which is suitable for transport of cryogenic fluid such as LNG, and which is capable of quickly and reliably detecting leakage of the fluid in the tube. Also provided is a structure for detecting leakage of fluid in a tube. A water impermeable and heat insulating layer is provided on the outer periphery of a heat insulating layer. The water impermeable and heat insulating layer, together with the heat insulating layer, thermally insulates LNG flowing through a corrugated tube from the outside of a flexible tube. Unlike the heat insulating layer, the water impermeable and heat insulating layer is poor in liquid permeability, and fluid such as LNG hardly permeates the water impermeable and heat insulating layer. That is, the water impermeable and heat insulating layer serves as a water impermeable layer between the inside and outside of the water impermeable and heat insulating layer.

This invention involves measurement of optical properties of materials with sub-micron spatial resolution through infrared scattering scanning near field optical microscopy (s-SNOM). Specifically, the current invention provides substantial improvements over the prior art by achieving high signal to noise, high measurement speed and high accuracy of optical amplitude and phase. Additionally, it eliminates the need for an in situ reference to calculate wavelength dependent spectra of optical phase, or absorption spectra. These goals are achieved via improved asymmetric interferometry where the near field scattered light is interfered with a reference beam in an interferometer. The invention achieves dramatic improvements in background rejection by arranging a reference beam that is much more intense than the background scattered radiation. Combined with frequency selective demodulation techniques, the near-field scattered light can be efficiently and accurately discriminated from background scattered light. These goals are achieved via a range of improvements including a large dynamic range detector, careful control of relative beam intensities, and high bandwidth demodulation techniques.

A mechanism for processing graphical block diagram parameter expressions is presented. The parameter processing mechanism also pools like, non-interfaced parameter expressions, allowing reuse of both uniform and non-uniform data across constant block parameters in the generated code and during model execution. The parameter processing mechanism further maintains an execution structure that maps the run-time parameter expressions containing interfaced variables to generated code for the block diagram so that the interfaced variables appear in the generated code. This mapping thus allows for interfacing to the interfaced variables in the generated code from any execution framework.

If the processing module determines the processing event is “reading a message” the processing module determines whether the encrypted message has been read or not. If the encrypted message has been read the processing module directly transmits the encrypted message back and then displays the encrypted message. If the encrypted message has not been read the processing module decrypts the encrypted message to generate a decrypted message and transmits the decrypted message back and then displays the decrypted message in a clear-text manner.

A first hardware thread executes a software program instruction, which instructs the first hardware thread to initiate a second hardware thread. As such, the first hardware thread identifies one or more register values accessible by the first hardware thread. Next, the first hardware thread copies the identified register values to one or more registers accessible by the second hardware thread. In turn, the second hardware thread accesses the copied register values included in the accessible registers and executes software code accordingly.

Replication requests are initiated in a virtual tape emulation system by storing a replication request in a persistent storage area that is shared between a virtual tape emulator and a control station. When the control station sees a pending replication request it initiates a request to a replication control to replicate the affected file or file system to a backup storage array. The control station deletes the replication request when the replication task completes. Deletion of the replication requests from the shared area is taken by the virtual tape task as a signal that replication has successfully completed, and can be reported to the mainframe.
