Congenital abnormalities of the kidney or the urinary tract (CAKUT) are the most common cause of pediatric kidney failure. These disorders are highly heterogenous, and their etiology is poorly understood. Dual serine/threonine and tyrosine protein kinase (DSTYK) mutations were detected in 2.2% of patients with congenital abnormalities of the kidney and urinary tract, suggesting that DSTYK is a major determinant of human urinary development, downstream of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling. This shows that the viscoelastic foam produced has an improved dampening property. The introduction of palm olein-based polyol into the production of viscoelastic foam does not affect the support factors and mechanical properties of the foam produced. The viscoelastic foams can be produced using an amount of up to 35% of palm olein-based polyol derived from palm olein or up to 25% of palm olein-based polyol derived from a mixture of palm olein and soybean oil by weight of total composition without any adjustment in the catalyst package.

A gravimetric blender has a frame, at least one material storage hopper at the top of the frame including a hopper cover, a weigh bin located within the frame, below the hopper, for receipt of material from the hopper to be weighed and being adapted for downward discharge of the material in the bin after the material received from the hopper has been weighed, at least one load cell connecting the weigh bin to the frame for sensing the weight of contents of the weigh bin, a mixer within the frame below the hopper, for mixing material weighed in the weigh bin after that material falls downwardly from the weigh bin to the mixer, and a guide adapted for vertical movement of the hopper cover therealong between positions which the cover contacts and thereby closes the hopper and at which the cover is spaced vertically but maintained in a horizontal plane above the hopper so that the hopper is open at the top.

An SiC wafer producing method includes setting a focal point of a pulsed laser beam to a single crystal SiC inside an ingot at a predetermined depth from an end surface of the ingot, the predetermined depth corresponding to the thickness of the wafer to be produced. The pulsed laser beam is applied to the ingot, thereby forming a small circular modified portion on a c-plane present in the ingot at the predetermined depth, in which the modified portion is a region where SiC has been decomposed into Si and C. A separation layer is formed for separating the wafer from the ingot, the separation layer being composed of a plurality of continuous modified portions and a plurality of cracks isotropically formed on the c-plane so as to extend from each modified portion.
