摘要：
The invention is in the field of tape feeders for stepwise indexing of tapes (2) having pockets (6) containing surface mountable electrical components (12). An object of this invention is to provide a method and apparatus for preventing loss of components from opened pockets prior to their removal. According to the invention this object is achieved in a preferred embodiment in providing a shutter covering said pocket (6) during the tape movement and peeling of the cover (8) from the substrate (4).
