The invention relates to aqueous, gel-like compositions of odoriferous substances, comprising a gel matrix and a derivative of an odoriferous substance, said derivative releasing the odour under the influence of protons. The invention also relates to a method for producing said gel-like compositions of odoriferous substances and the use thereof as additives in cleaning products, cosmetic products, deodorants, paints and varnishes.
