The invention relates to a clear rinse aid for a dish washing machine, said rinse aid having advantageous effects on the surface of glass. The inventive rinse aid contains: a) between 0.1 and 35 wt. % of non-ionic surfactant(s), b) between 0.1 and 10 wt. % of at least one agent which can provide protection against corrosion of glass products during the cleaning and/or rinsing processes of a dish washing machine, and c) enough water or aqueous solution of other active ingredients and/or auxiliary agents to make up 100 %.
