The invention relates to a gear transmission unit (10) comprising an electrical driving motor (12) provided with an armature shaft (22), a transmission arranged after said motor, inter alia a worm gear which interacts with the driving motor (12) by means of the armature shaft (22). Said armature shaft is supported, at least on the level of one of front faces thereof (28, 30), on the part a crankcase (16) by means of a cranking element (33). A damping element (32) can be mounted in a radial direction with respect to the armature shaft (22) between the cranking element (33) and the part of the crankcase (16).
