A second interlocking area (42) and a control ramp (44) are designed onto the lower fitting part (22). The control ramp (44) cooperates with the nose (34) of the pawl (30) and comprises a first depression (46), a curved area (48) and a second depression (50). When the nose (34) resides inside the first depression (46), it is possible for the two interlocking areas (36, 42) to engage. When the nose (34) rests on the curved area (48) or engages in the second depression (50), it is possible for the two interlocking areas (36, 42) to engage. When the nose (34) engages in the second depression (50), the backrest hinge fitting is affixed.
