摘要：
A fixing insert (10) for use in fixing a first part (50) to a second part (60) is disclosed. The fixing insert (10) comprises a body (12) having first and second ends (14, 16) and defining a body axis (A) extending therebetween. The body (12) comprises engagement means (18) for engaging a fastener, in use, and a plurality of anchor portions (20a, 20b, 20c) distributed along the body axis (A), each anchor portion (20a, 20b, 20c) extending laterally with respect to the body axis (A). The respective lateral extent (R A ) of each anchor portion (20a, 20b, 20c) is proportional to the distance between the respective anchor portion (20a, 20b, 20c) and the first end (14) of the body (12).
