The invention relates to a window (1), door or the like, having an outer frame (2), a leaf frame (3) which can be displaced with respect to the outer frame (2), and at least one locking strip (22) which is mounted on the outer frame (2) or the leaf frame (3) and which can be displaced in a joint clearance region (18) present between the outer frame (2) and the leaf frame (3), between a release position permitting an opening or closing movement of the leaf frame (3) and a locking position preventing the opening or closing movement of the leaf frame (3), in which locking position the locking strip (22) engages in a locking strip receptacle (23) of the leaf frame (3) or of the outer frame (2). Acording to the invention, the locking strip (22) also engages in the locking strip receptacle (23) in a locking strip intermediate position between the locking position and the release position, the locking strip (22) and/or the locking strip receptacle (23) being formed in such a way that, when the locking strip (22) is in the locking strip intermediate position, the leaf frame (3) can be displaced between a closed position and a ventilation position lying between said closed position and an open position, in which ventilation position at least one portion of the joint clearance region (18) is exposed, thus forming a gap for ventilation.
