摘要:
The present invention concerns a retroreflective powder coating composition consisting of:
• 10 - 95.9 wt.% of a film-forming binder material;
• 4 - 85 wt.% of spherical glass beads having a median particle diameter D50 between 1 and 50 µm and a refractive index between 1.9 and 2.8;
• 0.1 - 15 wt.% of pigment flakes having a median diameter between 1 and 75 µm; and
• 0 - 15 wt.% of one or more further ingredients,
wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the composition,
wherein the composition comprises particles comprising the film-forming binder material and having a median particle diameter D50 between 2 and 200 µm, and
wherein the median diameter of said pigment flakes is greater than 35% of the median particle diameter D50 of said spherical glass beads.
The invention further concerns a powder coating process for providing a substrate with retroreflective properties and a substrate coated with a retroreflective layer obtainable by said process.
