PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means, capable of safe operation by solving the problem of abnormal short life time of the bottom of a direct current electric furnace. SOLUTION: The problem is solved by a direct-current electric furnace bottom electrode. An electrode comprises a plurality of metal electrode body, a carbon containing electrically conductive brick with which the electrode body is filled, a metal substrate, and a stamp member laid between the substrate and the brick.
