Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send pneumatically selvage waste of a web without causing clogging.
SOLUTION: Each selvage 12a of the web 12 is cut off by a selvage cutting device 14, and the cut-off waste of selvages 12c is sent to a silo by a pneumatic sending device 18. The selvage waste 12c is sucked out by a suction duct 20 and sent off by a feed roller 40. Under the suction duct 20 a rotary cutter 21 is installed for separating the selvage waste 12c in the sending direction and turned into strip-shaped selvage waste 12d. Owing to the strip shape, they will not be hitched at a bend, etc., of pneumatic sending piping, which suppresses occurrence of clogging.
