    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate molding apparatus and a method of manufacturing a substrate which can stop the substrate precisely at a predetermined position during carrying the substrate in a hung state.
    SOLUTION: The substrate molding apparatus carries a plate material made of a material containing plant fiber and a thermoplastic resin in a hung state and molds to a predetermined shape. It includes a hanger 30 holding the plate material by hanging and the first slide rail 58a extending along the direction of carrying the plate material. In the hanger 30, a roller 36 supporting the hanger 30 in a movable way is mounted on the first slide rail 58a. In the first slide rail 58a, engagement surfaces 61a and 61b regulating movement of the hanger 30 along the first slide rail 58a when engaged in the roller 36 are disposed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send pneumatically selvage waste of a web without causing clogging.
    SOLUTION: Each selvage 12a of the web 12 is cut off by a selvage cutting device 14, and the cut-off waste of selvages 12c is sent to a silo by a pneumatic sending device 18. The selvage waste 12c is sucked out by a suction duct 20 and sent off by a feed roller 40. Under the suction duct 20 a rotary cutter 21 is installed for separating the selvage waste 12c in the sending direction and turned into strip-shaped selvage waste 12d. Owing to the strip shape, they will not be hitched at a bend, etc., of pneumatic sending piping, which suppresses occurrence of clogging.
