PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the industrial production of a 3-acylamino- thiophene derivative from 2-carboxymethyl-3-amino-thienyl in high yield by 3 steps comprising amidation, demethylation and decarbonation.
SOLUTION: The improvement of the production method comprises the use of pyridine as the base to be used in the amidation reaction, the selection of a proper reaction solvent, the setting of the aging temperature in two steps, etc. The method is industrially advantageous because the 3 reaction stages can be carried out in the same reactor without separating the reaction product in each unit operation.
