A method for controlling the output of contextual information to assist a user to perform a sequence of activities using a computing device, the computing device comprising or coupled to at least one wearable sensor and at least one output device for providing contextual information, the method comprising: identifying, using sensor information from the at least one sensor, an activity being performed by the user; selecting and controlling the output of contextual information based on the activity being performed by the user, the contextual information being output from the at least one output device to a user to assist the user in performing the identified activity.
