The electronic device includes at least one sensor, at least one processor, and a memory electrically coupled to the at least one processor, storing instructions executable by the at least one processor. The instructions implement the method, including detecting at least one haptic event related to content output by the electronic device, detecting movement information indicating movement of a haptic providing module electrically coupled to the electronic device, via the at least one sensor, wherein the haptic providing module includes one or more haptic actuators, and selecting at least one haptic actuator of the one or more haptic actuators based on at least one attribute of the at least one haptic event and the detected movement information.
