Abstract: A tunable laser light source includes a substrate; a waveguide layer disposed on the substrate, and including: a first optical waveguide and a second optical waveguide that are spaced apart from each other in a first direction and that extend in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; a first optical amplifier provided on the first optical waveguide; a second optical amplifier provided on the second optical waveguide and facing the first optical amplifier at a distance in the first direction; and a thermal isolation structure that is provided between the first optical amplifier and the second optical amplifier in the first direction, wherein, in the thermal isolation structure, the waveguide layer is disconnected in the first direction such that an upper surface of the substrate is exposed outside of the waveguide layer.

Abstract: An object detection device may include: a converter configured to convert a transmission signal radiated towards an object into a digital transmission signal and a received signal reflected from the object into a digital received signal, according to a predetermined sampling period; and at least one processor configured to: interpolate between elements of the digital transmission signal and the digital received signal that have the predetermined sampling period, to obtain an interpolated transmission signal and an interpolated received signal; remove noise from each of the interpolated transmission signal and the interpolated received signal; generate a cross-correlation signal between the interpolated transmission signal from which the noise is removed and the interpolated received signal from which the noise is removed; and acquire a three-dimensional (3D) image of the object based on at least one peak value of the cross-correlation signal.

Abstract: Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) systems and methods of operating the LiDAR systems are provided. The LiDAR system includes a light emitter configured to emit first lights of different wavelengths in a vertical direction and at different scanning angles with respect to a horizontal axis, a lens configured to converge second lights that are reflected from objects on which the first lights are emitted, and a light filter comprising an active-type device configured to adjust a transmission central wavelength of the active-type device to the different wavelengths of the first lights that are emitted from the light emitter. The LiDAR system further includes a controller configured to control an operation of the light emitter and the light filter, and a detector configured to detect light from the light emitter, and obtain information about the objects.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include: a communication processor, at least one radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) connected to the communication processor, and at least one antenna, each of which is connected to the at least one RFIC via at least one radio frequency front-end (RFFE) circuit, and is configured to transmit or receive a signal corresponding to at least one communication network, wherein the communication processor is configured to: identify whether target power corresponding to a primary component carrier (PCC) exceeds maximum transmission power of the electronic device while performing uplink carrier aggregation (CA), and based on identifying that the target power corresponding to the PCC exceeds the maximum transmission power, set a first transmission power of the PCC to a first power less than the maximum transmission power and set a second transmission power of at least one secondary component carrier (SCC) to a second power less than the first power, based on a first spectral efficiency corresponding to the first transmission power of the PCC and a second spectral efficiency corresponding to the second transmission power of the at least one SCC.
