The electronic device includes a first display area; a second display area; and a processor configured to display an application screen including a control object on the first display area, detect an input to move the application screen from the first display area to the second display area, rearrange the control object on the application screen, based on a type of the control object and a movement direction of the application screen, and display the application screen including the rearranged control object on the second display area.
