The method is applicable in a first electronic device having at least a display unit, and includes: judging whether a distance between the first electronic device and a second electronic device is not greater than a preset distance, to obtain a first judgment result; in a case that the first judgment result is positive, controlling an application in the first electronic device for manipulating the second electronic device to be in an on-state, and displaying an operating interface corresponding to the application on the display unit of the first electronic device; and in a case that the first judgment result is negative, controlling the operating interface to be in an off-state or hidden state.
