The information code is generated based on the received code generation information by the terminal. Practically, in response to the request, the server obtains an array pattern of the light-color and dark-color cells in the code region necessary for generating the information code in which the data is recorded. Information on the array pattern is set as code generation information and transmitted to the terminal. By another example, in the server, code print information including an array pattern of the light-color and dark-color cells in the code region can be obtained, and transmitted to the server for printing by the terminal.
