Abstract: In a robot controller, return of a position (including posture) of a robot arm to an origin thereof is controlled along a searched return path, when there occurs an abnormality against the robot. It is determined whether there is a trajectory portion regarded as being a straight line on a motion trajectory of the arm, based on the operation log data recorded in a recording unit when it is determined that the arm should be returned to the origin. Operation log data of a node are decimated (i.e., downsampled), which are present between two nodes which are at both ends of a trajectory portion regarded as being a straight line when the trajectory portion is regarded as being the straight line. Then, the return path is calculated, along which the arm returns to the origin, based on remaining operation log data.

Abstract: A code image is acquired by photographing a code as an authentication target. An extraction area is set within an area of the code shown in the code image. An image feature extracted from the extraction area is acquired as an extraction image feature. Abstract: A projection unit projects predetermined stripe pattern to measurement object so that emission start timing differs for each stripe number. Imaging unit is equipped with imaging device that outputs event data including two-dimensional point data in which position of pixel is specified corresponding to pixel whose brightness has changed when received. An imaged image is generated from event data output from imaging device. Abstract: A robot hand controller is provided for controlling operations of a robot (e.g., an industrial robot), which is configured to be held with a position and posture of an arm being changed by a user, and a hand mounted on the arm and held with an open/closed position being changed by a user. In the controller, the position and posture of the arm and the open/closed position of the hand are detected. A gripping force of the hand is detected. Abstract: An airline baggage management system includes a boarding reception device; a loading reception device; and a server. The boarding reception device outputs a baggage tag with an RF tag in which tag information is recorded, the tag information including at least one of a user ID, a boarding pass ID, and a baggage ID. The loading reception device includes: a loading reader unit that performs wireless communication with the RF tag of the baggage tag attached to the baggage has arrived at the loading position to read the tag recorded in the RF tag; an information generating unit generates loading position-related information, which is related to a position in the scheduled boarding plane at which the baggage whose tag information has been read by the loading reader unit is to be loaded; and a loading transmission unit transmits the tag information and the loading position-related information to the server.

Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling a robot arm with an end effector for packing workpieces in a box-shaped open container with a bottom wall and at least one side wall, an inner surface of the at least one side wall being covered with a contact prevention sheet having an indefinite shape, a controller determines whether a packing position of a selected workpiece in the box-shaped open container is adjacent to the inner surface of the at least one side wall of the container. The controller instructs the robot arm to move the selected workpiece picked up by the end effector downward while preventing the picked-up workpiece from entering a predetermined safety zone in response to determination that the specified packing position in the box-shaped open container is adjacent to the inner surface of the at least one side wall of the container.
