The electrode body 40 is housed in the battery case 10 so that a lamination surface opposes the safety valve 13. The cover member 41 is configured to cover a portion of the battery case 10 in which the safety valve 13 is formed in a state where the cover member 41 holds the lamination surface of the electrode body 40.
