The method includes encoding broadcast data based on a delivery protocol, line-layer processing the broadcast data, and physical-layer processing the broadcast data. Line-layer processing the broadcast data may include compressing the header of at least one IP packet when the broadcast data comprises the IP packet and encapsulating the IP packet into link layer packets.
