Abstract: Systems, devices and methods for adaptive compression of stored information includes a memory management computing device programmed to monitor a size of a plurality of data structures stored in a data repository. The computing device compares the size of each of a plurality of data structures to a predetermined threshold. When a size of an uncompressed data structure meets the threshold, the memory management computing device calculates a value of a first compression parameter based on a value of a first parameter and a value of a second parameter of each data element of the uncompressed data structure, calculates a value of a second compression parameter based the value of the first parameter of each data element of the uncompressed data structure, generates a compressed data structure based on the value of the first compression parameter and the second compression parameter; and replaces, in the data repository, the uncompressed data structure with the compressed data structure.

Disclosed is an operating method of a terminal, comprising the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including information for indicating whether to use uplink data compression (UDC); receiving data from an upper application layer of the terminal; compressing the data and encoding the compressed data; generating an uplink data compression (UDC) header and a service data adaption protocol (SDAP) header together; generating a block to which the UDC header and the SDAP header are bonded in the encoded data; and transmitting the block to a lower layer of the terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems, methods, and products comprising a computing device, which provides Efficient Data-In-Transit Protection Techniques for Handheld Devices (EDITH) to protect data-in-transit. An end user device (EUD) may generate a multicast data packet. The EDITH module of the EUD encapsulates the data packet in a GRE packet and directs the GRE packet to a unicast destination address of an EDITH Multicast Router included in an infrastructure. The EDITH module on the EUD double compresses and double encrypts the GRE packet. The EDITH module on the infrastructure decrypts and decompresses the double compressed and double encrypted GRE packet to recreate the GRE packet. The EDITH module on the infrastructure decapsulates the GRE packet to derive the original multicast data packet, and distributes the original multicast data packet to the multiple group member based on the multicast destination address included in the original multicast data packet.

Abstract: Systems and methods for pre-processing string data for network transmission are disclosed. A system can extract first sequences from a sequence file and generate respective encoded sequences based on the first sequences extracted from the sequence file. The system can generate a hash table that stores the respective encoded sequences. The system can combine at least two entries in the hash table based on a comparison of data generated from at least two of the respective plurality of encoded sequences. The system can transmit an output file including a plurality of decoded sequences generated based on the hash table.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for avoiding redundant data transfers using delta coding techniques when reliably and opportunistically communicating data to multiple user systems. According to embodiments, user systems track received block sequences for locally stored content blocks. An intermediate server intercepts content requests between user systems and target hosts, and deterministically chucks and fingerprints content data received in response to those requests. A fingerprint of a received content block is communicated to the requesting user system, and the user system determines based on the fingerprint whether the corresponding content block matches a content block that is already locally stored. If so, the user system returns a set of fingerprints representing a sequence of next content blocks that were previously stored after the matching content block. The intermediate server can then send only those content data blocks that are not already locally stored at the user system according to the returned set of fingerprints.

Abstract: A system encodes/compresses at least some portion of website data and transmits the encoded website data to a remote user. A storage device stores original website data representing an original webpage. Retrieval logic retrieves the original website data from the storage device. The retrieval may be responsive to a request from an electronic user device. A parser parses the original website data to detect and tag at least one type of website code within the website data. An encoder encodes the tagged website data and produces encoded website data representing the original website data. A transmitter transmits the encoded website data to the electronic user device. The electronic user device has previously been provided a decoder from the system to decode the encoded website data to recover the original website data. This allows the electronic user device to display the website on the electronic user device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided in a wireless communication system. Packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration information that configures a PDCP entity of the terminal to use an uplink data compression (UDC) is received from a base station. The PDCP entity generates a UDC header and a UDC data block, based on the PDCP configuration information. The PDCP entity ciphers the UDC header and the UDC data block. The PDCP entity generates PDCP data including a PDCP header, the ciphered UDC header and the ciphered UDC data block. The generated PDCP data is transmitted to the base station. A header compression is not configured in case that the UDC is configured.
