The system and method also include retrieving and analyzing an electronically stored allow list that is stored and updated based on a wireless data plan that is associated with the vehicle and determining accessibility of the application based on analysis of the allow list. The system and method further include assigning a router port of at least one router of a telematics communication unit of the vehicle to allow or disallow accessibility of the application based on determined accessibility of the application.
