A runflat tire according to the present invention comprises a carcass 4 toroidally extending over a pair of beads 5, a pair of sidewall portions 6 and a tread portion 7, and a reinforcing rubber layer 8 which has a crescent sectional shape and is arranged at the interior surface side of the carcass 4.
