Further, an inner surface of the pores may be coated with a first surface-ion diffusion enhancement coating. The solid electrolyte matrix may further include an electrically insulating matrix for a solid electrolyte. The electrically insulating matrix may have pores or passages and an inner surface of the pores or the passages may be coated with a second surface-ion diffusion enhancement coating.
