Abstract:
A method of inhibiting an automatic engine stop in an automotive system is disclosed. The automotive system includes a controller for automatically stopping and starting an internal combustion engine, and an electric steering system. An automatic engine stop is inhibited if a supply current (Isuppl) for the electric steering system or if a change of the steering angle is detected during a steering maneuver.
