The electronic gaming device may include a memory, a processor, and a plurality of reels. The plurality of reels may include one or more areas. The memory may include one or more reel-of-one functionality modules. The processor may generate one or more symbols to be located in the one or more areas and to generate one or more reel-of-one symbol groupings to be placed on one or more reels.
