Methods and apparatus relating to thermal throttling of WiDi (Wireless Display) video stream resolution are described. In an embodiment, logic generates one or more signals to cause a processor to a change the resolution and/or frame rate of a video stream in response to input from one or more sensors and one or more values. The one or more signals can also cause wireless display logic to modify a compression level of the video stream received from the processor prior to transmission of a compressed version of the video stream to a display device.
