The method includes, in a part or all of a time period during which a wireless terminal is in a dormant state, stopping supplying power to some or all circuits of a radio frequency circuit in the wireless terminal, where the dormant state includes at least one of a dormant state in a discontinuous transmission (DTX) period and a dormant state in a discontinuous reception (DRX) period and the problems of electric energy waste and service life reduction of a wireless terminal are resolved.
