The antenna apparatus includes: a combiner configured to divide omnidirectional space into N sectors to perform a sector sweep, combine a reception signal received via the single RF chain for each sector and calculate a gain of a composite signal; a comparator configured to determine a gain magnitude of the composite signal; and a controller configured to perform a beam-forming according to a comparison result of the gain magnitude of the comparator.
