A pump component within the cartridge is actuable to move fluid through the controllable fluid pathways, The cartridge includes a backpack for management of tubing to couple the cartridge to a receiving container. A disposable waste container is contained by the cartridge and the backpack. A syringe holder is provided for use of a syringe as a receiving container to receive a compounded medication.
