A method for processing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The method comprises the steps offixing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material with a fixing solution containing a compound represented by Formula I, II, III, IV or V andstabilizing said light-sensitive material just after the fixing step with a stabilizing solution which contains substantially no formaldehyde; ##STR1##
