The present invention is directed to compounds of the formula (I): ##STR1## (wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.9a, R.sup.9b, m and n are as defined herein) which are tachykinin antagonists and which are particularly useful in the treatment of pain, inflammation, migraine, emesis and postherpetic neuralgia.
