For example, a digital camera has a wireless communication function of wirelessly connecting to a PC (personal computer), which is an information processor. Pairing information for identifying a PC to be a communication counterpart is set in advance, by connecting to the PC via a USB cable. When the start of connection with the PC is instructed, the digital camera transitions into a state capable of wireless connection with the PC based on the set pairing information.
